High Hair & Jalapeños!A Rip Snortin’ Texas Musical Comedy Revue Opens Summer 2011 with nine new numbersA zany musical revue that captures the tall tales and the high hair of infamous and famous Texans. Nothing is sacred in this satirically funny, fast-paced romp through Texas trivia and folklore with a special focus on San Antonio. From tongue-burning jalapeños to high, high Texas hair, (including our governor’s) you’ll laugh yourself all the way to the border--Oklahoma or Mexico--take your pick. Directed and written by Phill George, the veteran creative force behind “Forbidden Broadway” and many other successful New York shows, this rip-snorting review is bronco-busting fun for locals and visitors alike. High Hair is back and aiming to shoot the Lone Star right out of the sky! Watch as the performers puncture and parody the egos of stars and politicos! Guests will roar as the actors poke fun at all of the weird and wonderful customs and habits that make Texas a great state of mind or a mind-altering state! Many of the original cast members are back including Michael J Gonzalez, Jillian Cox and Matt Goodson - plus new to the show are actors Becky King and Josh Harris and nine new songs: “It Happened at Fiesta,” “Touch-Down,” “Hard Time and Hard Labor” and “Lay off the Tacos,”— a tribute to the reigning Miss San Antonio who almost lost her crown because her beauty pageant warden thought a Size 2 was too tight. Produced by well-known San Antonio thespian maven, Gloria “G.L.” Liu, High Hair & Jalapeños! highlights the zany current events of Texas politicos and cultural icons that highlight the headlines of the daily news. http://highhairandjalapenos.com ![]() $3 handling fee per ticket purchased online or by phone |
